UCP Community Living Arrangement

Community Living Arrangement (CLA) is designed for those individuals who qualify for Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR) level of care, but are able to function in a smaller, more home-like setting than the larger state-operated institutions. The Community Living Arrangement is a residence within the community that offers the most restrictive level of structure and support designed for those individuals, age 18 years and above who qualify for ICF/MR level of care. Highly trained staff provides 24-hour supervision which includes instruction and assistance to aid each resident in achieving greater independence. Family members, advocates and friends are considered part of the treatment team and are integral to the development of the resident’s plan of care.

Nursing services are provided and all medical care is coordinated through the nursing staff and primary care physicians. The Community Living Arrangement (CLA) is a 15-bed facility located at 8800 LeBette Drive in Little Rock, however, any person meeting the requirements for ICF/MR level of care for the State of Arkansas is eligible for services. The CLA is monitored and licensed annually by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care.
